Park Primary School

After School Club

The Park Primary runs an after school club (Park ‘n’ Play) five days per week, which can be attended by all full-time pupils at the school. It operates from 3.15pm–6.00pm and is based in the Elliott Buildings, close to our playing fields. It is a great place for children to enjoy time in the safety of the school grounds whilst not ‘feeling’ like they are at school.

The club is run by Miss Madden and Mrs Tovey, supported by our After School Club Assistants. Children have access to a wide variety of resources and activities to keep them busy, including arts and crafts, board games, baking, outdoor games and sports. There is also a quiet corner with books and electronic games.

A wide range of activities is planned each week, designed to stimulate and engage children whilst they attend the after school club. At snack time, children are provided with a snack, fruit and a drink each day.

Parents are also welcome to use the club for drop-in care, subject to a space being available on the day.

Children in Reception and KS1 classes will meet by the library opposite the year 1 classrooms and will be escorted to the club. KS2 children will be allowed to make their own way to the club at the discretion of the club assistants. Children must be collected by a responsible adult. If the collector is going to be someone other than a named collector, prior notification must be given and the correct password quoted before they can be release. Any Parent/carer unable to collect their child on time, must inform the school office before 4.30pm. If you need to contact the club later than this, please ring 01454 866855, this will connect you to the afterschool club assistants. Parents/Carers are requested to give at least 24 hours notice if, for any reason, their child cannot attend. However all booked sessions will still be charged.
